Reflecting Joy Terms & Conditions
- I understand that I am purchasing an online (virtual) course/class through Reflecting Joy, LLC. I further understand and acknowledge that my relationship with Ms. Ifill or any other facilitators in the scope of this program, while therapeutic in nature, does not constitute therapy, but rather wellness coaching.
- Reflecting Joy prioritizes the safety and well being of Black people, centering the experiences of Black women. As such some courses may be closed to only specific populations for the purposes of promoting safety as specific incidents of trauma may be disclosed. Please review the course requirements prior to registering for a course. Please ensure you meet all requirements. There are no refunds.
- Due to the nature of this service, please note that you may become emotionally triggered. It is the intent of the service to support you in identifying this feelings as you discuss your experiences so that I may support you in processing them.
- This is a confidential relationship and all information will be kept strictly confidential, except in those situations where such confidentiality would violate the law or could jeopardize the safety of the client or others. There may be occasions when something you share with me and/or a group needs to be shared more widely for your safety, but we will discuss this first so that you are comfortable, and wherever possible, you will take the lead in sharing the information with others.
- All therapeutic work is most effective when both parties are honest and straightforward in their communication. Please complete all questionnaires with this in mind and prepare to be open and vulnerable during our time together.
- Although accepted, your participation in this program is contingent on your appropriate engagement in services and adherence to all payment agreements. Failure to adhere to program policies or failure to complete payment, may result in no longer being a participant.
- Please note that this program and all associated fees are nonrefundable. However, we understand that there may be times of personal crisis or illness that may create exceptional circumstance. Should you have a need you think will rise to an exception, please email Ms. Ifill at [email protected]I understand that Reflecting Joy: A.W.A.K.E.N. is a group coaching modality.
- Information shared by participants is private and not to be shared by the coach (group facilitator) or any member of the group.
- All teaching materials (slides, videos, workbooks) are protected by copyright law. They can not be reproduced or shared with others who are not in the group. Individuals who violate this clause will be breach of agreement, which may be dealt with under the full scope of the law.
- Coaching is not therapy, counseling, advice-giving, mental health care, or treatment for substance abuse. Although licensed as a mental health professional, the coach is not functioning as a licensed mental health professional in this work with you. Although services are designed to be therapeutic, coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services.
- Coaching is designed to address issues the person being coached would like to consider. As coach, I do not promise to have answers to your issues but am committed to working with you to explore them and help you identify how to move forward. There are no guaranteed results.
- Coaching is a confidential relationship and the coach agrees to keep all information strictly confidential, except in those situations where such confidentiality would violate the law or could jeopardize the safety of the client or others. There may be occasions when something you share in a coaching session needs to be shared more widely, but we will discuss this first so that you are comfortable, and wherever possible, you will take the lead in sharing the information with others.
- You agree to pay all fees associated with my participation as noted in advertisement for the service. If you have entered into payment plan agreement, you acknowledge that failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in not being able to attend group sessions until payment is rendered or a new agreement is reached.
